ABOUT CHRISTINE

“I enjoy working with individuals and creating a safe space to engage stories of harm.”

Dr. Browning has a history of sexual, emotional, physical, a psychological abuse that initiated in early childhood. She has been walking her journey of healing through NFTC for 25 years, and finds continued freedom by engaging her own stories of harm with safe guides. This is what she offers to others — a place of attunement, compassion, and care for your experiences of deep harm and wounding.

Christine completed NFTC levels 1, 2, and externship with The Allender Center and now serves as a facilitator for NFTC Level 1. She states, “My heartache of abuse has been redeemed through story work and the joy I experience in the company of others who are walking their journey of healing.”

Dr. Browning recently retired from her role as Professor of Counseling at Milligan University in East Tennessee, where she taught in the graduate program for 12 years. Before teaching counseling at Milligan, she taught counseling and psychology at Crichton College in Memphis, TN, where she completed her undergraduate degree (1992-1997). Christine went on to earn MA and EdS degrees in School Psychology at the University of Memphis (1997-2001) and completed her Ph.D. at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS (2004). Dr. Browning has been licensed to counsel since 2006. Her extensive academic and clinical background, along with her Allender Center training and facilitation, shapes her approach to counseling and story work.
